Brooke Cutting Tools offers our customers a wide variety of solid carbide end mills depending on the material and its intended application. A majority of Carbide End Mills within our product catalogue feature:

  • Specific geometry, or patent pending geometry and other characteristics which maximize metal removal rates and improve chip evacuation.
  • Excellent finish quality and extended tool longevity via Oerlikon Balzers coating (not applicable for aluminum end mills).
  • Carbide grade of European origin.


Solid Carbide End Mills for Aluminum

As aluminum increases in popularity, high efficiency carbide end mills are required for machining this ductile metal. These products allow for roughing and finishing with the use of a single tool. An added feature is that it allows for deeper and wider cuts, both axial and radial. Additional benefits include: multiple corner radii and extended neck configurations, which create the opportunity for use with many applications including high-speed machining, conventional milling, and MQL applications.

Solid Carbide Hi-Feed End Mill
The Hi-Feed End Mill provides multiple benefits including, rapid metal removal rates as well as creating a quality surface finish by preventing chipping on cutting edges and corners. These tools feature a necked shank which allows it to reach into deep cavities, and also contains a coolant hole, which reduces friction and aids with chip evacuation. In addition to an h6 tolerance, it can rough hardened steel up to 62 HRC.

Solid Carbide Finishing End Mills

Designed for finishes when milling specific contours, complex shapes and hard materials up to 52HRC. A specific feature which makes this tool unique are the chamfers and dubbing which reinforce cutting tool corners that extend tool life, and reduce cutting tool forces at higher speeds. Modifications to the neck are available at customer request. Solid Carbide High Performance Roughing and Hard Material Finishing End Mills

Roughers and Hard Material Finishers
Designed for low cutting forces. There applications are for general engineering such as side cutting, slotting, and ramping. They have sub-micron carbide integrated into their design and work within the standard 4mm-20mm diameter range.

Hard Material Finishers are high performance finishing end mills for operation on hard materials ranging from 48 to 52 HRC. They contain ultra fine carbide, and are designed for peripheral milling of contours and complex shapes, which are ideal for mold and die steels. These also work within the 4mm-20mm range.

Solid Carbide VaricCut End Mills
The VariCut is a new style of end mill with a reinforced core and unequal flute spacing, allowing it to move the most material in the least amount of time with an excellent surface finish. It is effective for cutting a wide range of materials; cast iron, carbon alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and high temperature alloys. VariCut eliminates the need for multiple tools as it can perform a majority of cutting operations; slotting, side milling, roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing.
